The Sims 4 releases free update with new customization and performance fixes

The Sims 4 has released a free update featuring new customization options and performance enhancements. The update introduces a new afro-textured hairstyle and six new clothing items designed to accommodate various body types in Create a Sim (CAS) mode.

To ensure authentic and respectful cultural representation, the development team collaborated with internal groups and external consultants from SILA Consulting. This follows previous content releases inspired by indigenous cultures from North America, South Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Technical improvements include a new image caching system for the Marketplace, which reduces loading times and data usage by only downloading new or changed images. The update also includes various bug fixes and is available across PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
