The Social Network successor explores Meta's internal scandals

The film ‘The Other Side of the Social Network’ dramatizes the real-life events surrounding the Facebook Files. Inspired by the whistleblower actions of engineer Frances Haugen, the production depicts how Haugen revealed internal documents to journalist Jeff Horwitz of The Wall Street Journal.

The narrative focuses on how Meta (formerly Facebook) managed content that incited fear, indignation, and conflict to drive user engagement. Rather than focusing solely on the existence of harmful content, the film examines the corporate decisions and commercial incentives that actively amplified such material, leading to user radicalization and misinformation.
