The Sonny Disposition: New Australian sitcom satirizes podcasting culture

The Sonny Disposition is a new six-episode Australian workplace comedy airing on Stan and Nine. Created, directed, and starring Simon Taylor alongside writer-producer Josh Samuels, the series offers a cynical look at the modern landscape of content creation and podcasting.

The plot follows Sonny Tyler, a podcast host played by Taylor, who is driven by an obsession to climb the podcast rankings. The show depicts a dysfunctional production team and explores the tension between media ethics and the pursuit of popularity, while also highlighting the strain Tyler's professional ambitions place on his relationship with his fiancée, Beth.
