The Testaments Season 2 begins filming in Canada

Production for the second season of ‘The Testaments’, a spin-off of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, has officially commenced in Canada. The filming began in late August 2026, following the successful first season which premiered in April 2026.

Streaming platforms Hulu and Disney+ renewed the series shortly before the conclusion of its first season, citing significant viewership growth. The show has accumulated over 45 million hours of streaming globally and maintains an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Cast members including Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Ann Dowd, and Mattea Conforti are returning for the new season. Showrunner Bruce Miller has indicated the potential for a long-running series, aiming for between 30 and 50 episodes, which could span three to five seasons.
