The Undertaker attributes WrestleMania 30 concussion to age and schedule
The Undertaker has attributed the concussion he suffered during WrestleMania 30 to his age and a reduced wrestling schedule rather than a single, unusually severe impact. During the 2014 match in which Brock Lesnar ended his undefeated streak, the wrestler was hospitalized before the event concluded and has noted that he has no memory of the match itself.
Speaking on his podcast, Six Feet Under, alongside Paul Heyman, The Undertaker stated that while he has taken much harder hits throughout his career, his body was less able to handle the trauma because he was only competing a few times a year at that stage of his career.
Paul Heyman supported this perspective, suggesting that the cumulative effect of many smaller impacts over a long career can be just as significant as a single major hit. Heyman also shared an anecdote regarding Ronda Rousey, noting how a childhood accident had left her more vulnerable to specific types of impacts during her fighting career.
