The U.S.-Mexico 10K race to connect El Paso and Ciudad Juárez in 2027

Chihuahua Mayor Marco Bonilla has invited residents to participate in the eighth edition of the The U.S.-Mexico 10K, an international race scheduled for April 4, 2027. The event will feature a binational route connecting El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.

Bonilla emphasized that the border serves as a space for shared histories, families, and economic opportunities rather than just a geographic division. He noted that the race aligns with the recent twinning agreement between Chihuahua and El Paso, aimed at strengthening cooperation in tourism, culture, sports, and industry.

According to the El Paso Community Foundation, the race has grown from approximately 800 participants in 2015 to over 3,000 in recent editions. Organizers have set a goal to reach 5,000 runners for the 2027 event.
