The View celebrates Season 30 and host milestones

During the Season 30 premiere of ‘The View’, co-hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg celebrated significant career milestones. Goldberg marked her 20th season as moderator of the daytime talk show.

During the broadcast, Goldberg noted that Behar has officially hosted more seasons of an American talk show than any other woman, having appeared in 28 of the program’s 30 seasons. Behar joked about her long tenure, remarking that she has been around since the show was ‘in black-and-white.’

In a lighthearted exchange, Behar quipped to Goldberg, ‘She used to be white. I mean, things change here!’ following Goldberg’s expression of surprise at her two-decade milestone. Co-host Sunny Hostin also honored the veterans, describing Behar and Goldberg as the show’s ‘fearless leaders.’

The premiere included a tribute to the show’s late creator, Barbara Walters, featuring archival footage of the journalist discussing her original vision for the program when it launched in 1997.
