The View hosts debate potential public execution of Nidal Hasan

Co-hosts of the ABC program ‘The View’ have sparked debate regarding the potential public execution of convicted terrorist Nidal Hasan. During a discussion on the matter, Sunny Hostin compared the possible execution to the historical lynchings of Black men in the American South and the beheading of journalist Daniel Pearl by ISIS.

Other panelists expressed concerns regarding the international perception of the United States. Whoopi Goldberg suggested that private executions represent a ‘last bastion of humanity,’ while Alyssa Farah Griffin warned that publicizing such an event could serve as recruitment propaganda for terrorist organizations, potentially making Hasan a martyr. The discussion included comparisons to the practices of regimes in Iran, North Korea, and Iraq.
