The Voice of Bulgaria returns for season 12 with record participants

The twelfth season of the music reality show ‘The Voice of Bulgaria’ is set to premiere on bTV on September 6 at 20:00. This season features a record-breaking number of participants, with over 2,000 contestants from Bulgaria and abroad participating in the blind auditions. Contestant ages range from 15 to 58 years.

New elements for this season include a redesigned stage, updated rules intended to create dramatic twists, and a new coach, MEDI, who joins returning coaches DARA, Maria Ilieva, and Ivan Lechev. The show will be hosted by actors Boryana Bratoeva and Vladimir Zombori.

Participants are competing for a 30,000 euro prize and the title of ‘The Voice of Bulgaria’. The production highlights a diverse range of vocal talents, including unique timbres and wide vocal ranges, as well as personal connections among contestants such as mother and daughter, colleagues, and friends.
