The Voice of Bulgaria returns with season 12 and new coaches

The 12th season of the music reality show ‘The Voice of Bulgaria’ has premiered on bTV, featuring new rules and dramatic competition between the coaching panel. The coaching lineup includes Dara, Maria Ilieva, Ivan Lechev, and newcomer Medy, a pop-folk singer and former contestant.

During the initial blind auditions, singer Nikola Popov impressed the coaches with a wide vocal range, leading to a competitive battle for his selection. Medy utilized a ‘block’ button to prevent Ivan Lechev from recruiting the singer, while Maria Ilieva utilized a ‘star advocate’ to appeal to the contestant. Hosts Boryana Bratoeva and Vladimir Zombori noted that approximately 2,000 people participated in the preliminary auditions.

Bratoeva and Zombori highlighted that this season features significant twists and that many contestants are motivated by personal growth and self-challenge rather than just winning the competition.
