The Walking Dead props and alternative zombie series

Heritage Auctions is hosting a sale featuring dozens of costumes and props from the AMC series ‘The Walking Dead’. Collectors have the opportunity to bid on items related to the character Negan, including production-made jackets and stunt props of his iconic barbed-wire bat, ‘Lucille’.

In the broader landscape of zombie television, several series are noted for offering distinct alternatives to the long-running AMC franchise. ‘Kingdom’ provides a historical setting during Korea’s Joseon dynasty, blending a mysterious epidemic with political power struggles. ‘Z Nation’ offers a more unconventional approach, utilizing dark humor and eccentric characters as survivors attempt to transport a man who may hold the key to a vaccine. ‘Dead Set’, created by Charlie Brooker, presents a scenario where a zombie outbreak occurs while contestants are trapped inside a reality television house in the United Kingdom.
