The Wallflowers announce first Australian tour

American rock band The Wallflowers has announced their first-ever Australian tour, scheduled for December. Led by Jakob Dylan, the five-date tour will visit Melbourne, Thirroul, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide.

The tour serves a dual purpose: celebrating the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough 1996 album, ‘Bringing Down the Horse’, and honoring the influence of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. The band will perform ‘Bringing Down the Horse’ in its entirety each night, alongside the full performance of the 1982 Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers album, ‘Long After Dark’.

‘Bringing Down the Horse’ was a major commercial success, reaching number four on the Billboard 200 and earning quadruple platinum certification in the US. The album featured hit singles such as ‘One Headlight’, which won two Grammy Awards in 1998.
