The Waterboys and Steve Earle launch Fisherman’s Blues Revue tour

The Waterboys have launched the ‘Fisherman’s Blues Revue’ tour, celebrating the legacy of their 1988 album ‘Fisherman’s Blues’. The tour kicked off at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow and includes a stop at the Roig Arena in Valencia, Spain.

Led by Mike Scott, the eight-piece ensemble features violinist Steve Wickham and special guest American singer-songwriter Steve Earle. Earle performs his own hits, such as ‘Copperhead Road’ and ‘Guitar Town’, while contributing vocals, guitar, and mandolin to The Waterboys’ repertoire.

The tour coincides with the release of ‘Atlantic Rain’, a three-disc box set of unreleased material from the ‘Fisherman’s Blues’ sessions. Upcoming tour dates include stops in Dublin, Oslo, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and London.
