The Webster opens debut lifestyle hotel in London's Covent Garden
The Webster has officially opened its first lifestyle hotel in London, located in Covent Garden overlooking Lincoln’s Inn Fields. The 167-bedroom property serves as the debut for the new design-forward brand.
Designed by the London-based studio Red Deer, the hotel’s aesthetic is inspired by magical realism, a literary genre associated with Gabriel García Márquez. The interior design aims to provide a sense of nostalgia and connection to the physical world, featuring literary nooks, bespoke furniture, and artwork by British artists such as Henry Ward and Emily Kirby.
The hotel includes three food and beverage destinations: Carmelina’s, an Italian-inspired restaurant; Carmelina’s Al Banco, an all-day café-bar with an outdoor terrace; and Carla’s, a late-night cocktail bar. Guestrooms are designed with warm neutral palettes and curated objects intended to encourage guests to disconnect from digital life.
