The Witcher 3 Remastered sees new community mods and developer updates
Following the release of the remastered version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the gaming community has focused on both developer decisions and significant community-made modifications.
CD Projekt Red addressed player concerns regarding the visual fidelity of the game's iconic low-poly pigeons. The studio confirmed that while ground-based pigeon models were updated, the flying models were intentionally left in their original, angular state to avoid upsetting fans. In response to this, a modder known as GRApedia released ‘The Low-Poly Pigeon: The Revenge’, a mod that replaces gryphons with low-poly pigeons and changes their cries to cooing.
Additionally, the extensive ‘Brothers In Arms’ modification has been updated for the Remastered edition. Developed over four years using the REDkit editor, the mod includes nearly 6,000 fixes and restores deleted content, such as 145 books, 120 characters, and over 800 lines of dialogue. The mod, which has surpassed 300,000 downloads on NexusMods, aims to improve gameplay systems, quest fixes, and graphical glitches across the base game and its expansions.
