CD Projekt Red announces The Witcher 3 Remastered and new expansion

CD Projekt Red has announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, scheduled for release on September 29, 2026. The update will be a free upgrade for existing owners on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and will include both original expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The remaster introduces significant technical improvements, including path tracing, ray tracing, and support for DLSS 4.5, FSR 4, and XeSS 2.0. Gameplay enhancements feature a revamped combat system, improved monster AI, a new skill tree, and a transmogrification system.

In a new partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, the title will also be available on Battle.net. Additionally, the game will receive a native version for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Furthermore, the studio revealed a new expansion titled Songs of the Past, set to launch in 2027. This DLC will take players to the new region of Letten and focuses on the relationship between Geralt and Dandelion. The expansion is expected to serve as a narrative bridge between The Witcher 3 and the upcoming Witcher 4.
