The Witcher 3 wins multiple awards at Gamescom 2026
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has secured three awards at Gamescom 2026, following the reveal of its upcoming DLC, ‘Songs of the Past’. The titles won awards for best trailer, best announcement, and best fan merchandise, with CD Projekt Red also receiving a jury award for the best exhibition stand.
In addition to CD Projekt Red's success, Sega earned three awards, including the title of publisher with the best game lineup. Other notable winners include Total War: Warhammer 40,000 for best PC game, Onimusha: Way of the Sword for best gameplay and best PlayStation game, and Rayman Legends Retold for best Nintendo Switch 2 game.
Separately, Xbox Game Pass subscribers are nearing the end of their access to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, as the game is scheduled to leave the service on August 31. This departure comes ahead of the anticipated 2027 release of the ‘Songs of the Past’ expansion.
