The Woodlands to host Patriot Day ceremony for September 11 anniversary

The Woodlands Township will host a Patriot Day of Remembrance ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2026, to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The event will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Woodlands Central Fire Station.

The ceremony aims to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost and pay tribute to the first responders, including firefighters, law enforcement, and medical personnel, who acted with courage during the attacks. The program includes a Presentation of Colors by The Woodlands Fire Department Honor Guard, a reading of ‘The Fireman’s Prayer,’ and the ringing of the bell to remember fallen firefighters. The event will also be streamed live on the township’s Facebook page.
