The Works expands with new stores in Aberystwyth and Kirkby

The UK value retailer The Works has opened a new outlet in Aberystwyth, Wales, at 8‑10 North Parade on 30 July. The shop replaces a former branch on Terrace Road and offers a larger, brighter space for books, crafts, toys and stationery. Store manager Mike Docherty said the new premises provide “great‑value books, crafts and activities” for families.

The retailer also announced a second new store in Kirkby, England. Fit‑out work has begun at 22 St Chad’s Parade, with an opening planned for 27 August. Kirkby councillor Tony Brennan welcomed the addition, noting it will broaden the town centre’s retail offering and support local shoppers.

Both locations join The Works’ national network of more than 500 stores, continuing its strategy of expanding affordable family‑focused retail across the United Kingdom.
