The X-Files reboot announced for Hulu

Marking the 33rd anniversary of its premiere on September 10, 1993, the sci-fi series ‘The X-Files’ is set to receive a reboot. Hulu has ordered a pilot for the new iteration, which is scheduled for February 2026.

Ryan Coogler is attached to write and direct the project, with Jennifer Yale serving as showrunner. The new series will feature Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel as the central investigative duo. While the reboot focuses on new characters, there are rumors that original protagonists Fox Mulder and Dana Scully may make appearances.
