Theater festivals announced in Fernandópolis and Botucatu

The Fernandópolis National Theater Festival has announced the five selected shows for its inaugural edition, scheduled for November 20–22, 2026, at the Municipal Theater. The selection process drew 344 entries from across Brazil, including artists from Manaus, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, and Porto Alegre.

The chosen productions are ‘Micorriza’ by Victória Zerpa (Regional category), ‘Dorotéia’ by Grupo Fócu de Teatro (National category), and ‘As Bondosas’ by Cia. SOS de Teatro Investigativo, ‘Hilda e Caio’ by Kiko Rieser, and ‘Tudo Acontece numa Segunda-Feira de Manhã’ by Vinícius Piedade (National category for entries over 500km). The curation was led by Arnaldo D’Ávila and Jedsom Kárta.

In Botucatu, the Municipal Theater Camillo Fernandez Dinucci will host a free performance of ‘Saudade’ by Companhia Os Geraldos this Saturday at 8:00 PM. Part of the Mostra Cidade Cênica de Botucatu (MCCB) 2026, the play has previously toured Brazil, Spain, and Italy. Tickets will be distributed in person at the theater box office starting at 7:00 PM.
