The chanson ensemble 'Die Damen und Herren Daffke' is scheduled to make its debut performance at Theater Marl on September 19 at 7:00 PM. The concert, titled 'Wie werde ich reich und glücklich? – Ein musikalischer Handlungsvorschlag', will focus on music from the 1920s and Yiddish influences.

The ensemble consists of singers Franziska Hiller, Friederika Kühl, Markus Paul, and Kurt Kuhfeld, with Kuhfeld also providing arrangements. Ilan Bendahan Bifton will accompany the vocalists on the piano. The group, who met at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, aims to keep the music of predominantly Jewish composers alive.

The program includes works such as Friedrich Hollaender’s 'Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt' and Marlene Dietrich’s 'Wenn ich mir was wünschen dürfte'. Tickets are available through the Marler Stern or the Theater Marl website.
