Theater productions launch at CentroCentro and Foro La Gruta

CentroCentro in Spain is hosting a new edition of ‘Microescena’, a theater cycle focused on small-format performances. The program features immersive, twenty-minute plays for small audiences. The upcoming season includes ‘El sueño’, a poetic encounter between Camille Claudel and Alberto Giacometti scheduled for October, and ‘La piedra’, a drama exploring the relationship between artists and the art market set for November. Both works were created by director Alexandra Nicod.

In Mexico, the play ‘La vendedora de nubes’, directed by Mauricio Pimentel, is scheduled to run at Foro La Gruta from October 17 to November 1. The production is a stage adaptation of a story by Elena Poniatowska and is presented by the Mexican Secretariat of Culture through the Centro Cultural Helénico. The play uses masks and choral movement to tell a story about imagination and dignity through the eyes of a child selling clouds.
