Theater productions tour South American regions

The Escuela de Teatro Itinerante de Santa Cruz (ETISAC) recently completed a tour in Puerto Natales, Chile, as part of the XI Encuentro Escolar Vientos de Teatro. ETISAC President César Torres reported that the delegation performed two shows, “La Cantora,” a collective creation honoring Mercedes Sosa, and “Venecia,” a comedy by Jorge Accame. The performances were held in a venue with a capacity of over 700 people and reached full attendance.

The school is continuing its tour by traveling to Río Turbio to participate in the XV Encuentro Juvenil de Teatro.

In Asunción, Paraguay, the play “La Peregrina - Solo se trata de sobrevivir,” written and directed by Natalia Benítez and starring Aura Brítez, is concluding its run. The production, which explores themes of displacement and survival through the story of a woman named Lola, will hold its final performances at Sala La Correa through November 1.
