Theaters in Prague and Bratislava announce new performance seasons
Theatrical venues in Prague and Bratislava have announced their upcoming seasons, featuring new premieres and diverse programming.
Divadlo v Dlouhé in Prague has launched its new season with 'Samá voda', an immersive adventure directed by Antonie Rašilovová. Aimed at children aged seven and up, the production incorporates elements of mystery and interactive movement within the space. The season will also include 'Víkend', a Czech-Slovak family tragicomedy directed by Ivan Buraj, scheduled for premiere on November 7.
In Bratislava, Divadlo P. O. Hviezdoslava (DPOH) has unveiled its 2026/2027 season under the theme 'Homes and Refuges'. The upcoming schedule includes five premieres, such as the puppet production 'Šťastie rastie na streche' on October 3 and the sci-fi comedy 'Bratislava 2099' in November. The latter, directed by Alena Weisel Lelková, explores futuristic visions of the city based on local resident surveys.
