Theatre education programs launch new seasons and anniversaries in Spain

Educational theatre programs in Spain are launching new seasons and celebrating milestones. In Sant Cugat, the Teatre-Auditori Emma Vilarasau has inaugurated its 2026-2027 ‘Escoles a Escena’ season. The kickoff featured a free performance of ‘The Incredible Box’ by the company La Tal, attended by over 700 students from various local schools.

The upcoming season includes 13 shows and four participatory projects covering genres such as dance, music, magic, and puppetry. The programming is designed for all educational stages, from kindergarten to baccalaureate, with scheduled performances continuing through March.

Meanwhile, the Escuela Municipal de Teatro in Sagunt is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The festivities, scheduled for late September, will feature performances in various historical locations within the city, including Calle San Ramón and Calle Castillo. The anniversary program includes interpretive works by students, such as ‘Llueven’, directed by Sergi Juesas, and will incorporate both Spanish and Valencian languages.
