The Theatre Guild at Adelaide University has announced its 2026 season, which includes a reimagining of William Shakespeare’s ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ set within the modern music industry. The season also features Alistair McDowall’s ‘Pomona’, a dark one-act play set in an abandoned concrete island.

Orange Tree Theatre has unveiled its 2026/27 season, highlighted by productions starring Tamsin Greig, Olivia Williams, and Claire Skinner. The lineup includes an adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell’s ‘Cranford’, Shakespearean stagings of ‘King Lear’ and ‘Richard II’, and Noël Coward’s ‘The Vortex’.

The Orange Tree season will also feature the world premiere of ‘Sapling’ by Georgina Duncan and Penelope Skinner’s comedy ‘Infamous Anne’. Additionally, the theatre is launching ‘OT Music’, a new collaboration with St Mary Magdalene church featuring various international musicians.
