Theatrical productions scheduled for Calabria and Sicily

New theatrical productions are set to debut in southern Italy this November. In Calabria, the opera “Fortunata di Dio – La Storia di Natuzza Evolo,” written by Ruggero Pegna and directed by Andrea Ortis, will perform at the Teatro Politeama in Catanzaro on November 3 and at the Teatro Comunale in Vibo Valentia on November 5.

The production tells the life story of Natuzza Evolo and features original music by Francesco Perri, along with 3D projections and special effects by Virginio Levrio. The production aims to promote the figure of Natuzza Evolo and the Sanctuary of Paravati in Mileto.

In Sicily, the Teatro Abc in Catania will host a production of Jean Genet’s “Le Serve,” starring Fioretta Mari, Nadia De Luca, and Francesca Ferro. Directed by Guglielmo Ferro and produced by Associazione culturale Progetto Teatrando, the play is scheduled to run from November 7 to November 22, 2026.
