Theatrical productions scheduled for Campobasso and Plovdiv

Several theatrical productions are scheduled for September 2026. In Campobasso, Italy, the musical ‘L’Amore e la Misericordia’ will return to the Teatro Savoia on September 25. Directed by Lino D’Ambrosio, the performance depicts the life of Saint Faustina Kowalska through music, dance, and acting, featuring participants from local Franciscan parishes. Guest of honor Claudia Koll will provide a testimony of faith following the show. All proceeds will benefit charitable works of the San Pietro Parish and Operazione Fratellino projects for vulnerable children.

In Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the musical project ‘La Regina delle Rose’ will make its world premiere on September 13 at the Crossroad Stage Autumn Theater Festival. Written and performed by Isabel Russinova, the production is inspired by her novel and tells the story of Princess Giovanna di Savoia, wife of Tsar Boris and the last Tsarina of Bulgaria. The multidisciplinary show covers the years between 1927 and 1943, exploring themes of war, the Tsar's death, and the Bulgarian royal family's exile.
