Theatro Horos hosts return of Strindberg’s ‘Miss Julie’

The production of August Strindberg’s ‘Miss Julie’ is returning to Theatro Horos starting November 9. Directed by Yannis Tsortekis, the play features Tsortekis and Elena Mavridou in the leading roles for the second consecutive year.

Written in 1888, the play is a cornerstone of naturalist theatre, exploring themes of desire, social inequality, and the destructive nature of power. The narrative centers on an explosive conflict between an aristocratic woman, a servant, and a cook, as social hierarchies collapse and roles are reversed within a single night.
