Theft incidents reported in Pingtung and Taoyuan

Two separate theft incidents have been reported in Taiwan involving motorcycles and property.

In Pingtung County, a woman was captured on surveillance footage riding her scooter against traffic to a residence in Xinyuan Township. She was observed taking a broken television that had been left in a porch area. The homeowner's daughter has sought public assistance to identify the individual, noting that police are investigating but require clearer footage as the license plate was blurred.

In Taoyuan City, a delivery driver in the Luzhu District had his motorcycle stolen while he was making a delivery on Longshou Street. The thief took the vehicle while the engine was still running and the driver's phone was left on the frame. After the victim called his own phone, the suspect answered and stated the vehicle would be left in the Guishan District. The driver successfully recovered the motorcycle at the specified location, though the suspect fled. The Luzhu Police Precinct has reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect, stating they are working to bring the individual to justice.
