Theft of electrical cables and equipment reported in Brazil

Multiple incidents of electrical cable theft have been reported in different Brazilian locations. In Petrolina, the Campo das Flores Cemetery was targeted, resulting in the theft of 1,710 meters of electrical cables and 50 LED lamps. The Petrolina City Hall reported that the incident requires technical teams for repairs and diverts public resources from other essential services.

In Cabo Frio, security cameras captured a man stealing a grounding cable from an office entrance in the Braga neighborhood. The theft occurred in the early hours of a Tuesday. Local business owners have expressed concern over recurring thefts in the area, noting that such crimes cause direct financial losses through material replacement and technical service costs.
