Thekla and Willow Nightingale to compete for AEW title shot at All Out

At the upcoming AEW All Out event, former AEW Women’s World Champions Thekla and Willow Nightingale will compete in a one-on-one match to determine the number one contender for the title.

The match follows news that current champion Mercedes Moné is unable to compete due to a broken nose. During a recent segment on Collision, Thekla criticized Nightingale, calling her a “fraud” and claiming her previous injuries were merely attempts to gain sympathy. Thekla expressed her intent to win the match and eventually reclaim her championship.

Speculation has also arisen regarding whether Mercedes Moné will introduce a new ally or bodyguard at the event. There is possibility that Moné may debut Mara Sadé, a former TNA star reportedly under contract with AEW, to provide protection as she manages her championship reign and targets Athena’s record.
