Thekla defeats Willow Nightingale to earn AEW title shot
Thekla defeated Willow Nightingale in a number one contender match at the AEW All Out event to secure a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship. The match was characterized by Thekla repeatedly targeting Nightingale’s injured hand.
During the closing moments, interference from Julia Hart and Skye Blue occurred. The distraction allowed Thekla to capitalize on the chaos, ultimately securing the victory with a series of stomps. Following the match, current champion Mercedes Moné appeared on stage to confront Thekla. The two are scheduled to compete for the title at the WrestleDream event next month.
