Theme parks and Asian cultural trends drive Brazilian experience market

The Brazilian experience and tourism market is seeing significant shifts driven by interest in Asian culture and a surge in theme park travel. Data from the Civitatis reservation platform indicates that theme parks are leading growth in Brazilian travel reservations for 2026, with notable increases in both domestic and international destinations.

In Brazil, Penha, home to Beto Carrero World, saw a 776% increase in platform growth, supported by a planned R$ 2 billion investment in new themed areas and hotels. Internationally, Orlando, Florida, recorded a 99% rise in reservations, while Disneyland Paris grew by 24%.

Simultaneously, Brazilian consumer interest in Asia is rising, with 76% of Brazilians expressing curiosity about South Korean culture. This influence is seen through the popularity of K-Pop, K-Beauty, and K-Food. Meanwhile, Chinese brands are increasingly present in the Brazilian market, accounting for 21% of the appliance sector and maintaining a massive presence on social media platforms like TikTok.
