Theodoros N. Theodorou to receive honorary doctorate from University of Ioannina

The University of Ioannina will award an honorary doctorate to Theodoros N. Theodorou from the Department of Physics. The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, at the ‘Charilaos Papoulias’ Conference Center.

Professor Theodorou is an emeritus professor at the National Technical University of Athens and a member of both the Academy of Athens and the US National Academy of Engineering. His academic career includes significant roles at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. He holds degrees from the National Technical University of Athens and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

During the ceremony, Theodorou will deliver a lecture titled ‘Molecular Simulations of Materials as a Means of Understanding and Design’. The event will be open to the public and broadcast via the Diavlos platform.
