Thermal Hotel Wrello opens in Stubičke Toplice
The Thermal Hotel Wrello has officially opened in Stubičke Toplice, Croatia, as part of a major investment project valued at approximately 17.4 to 17.6 million euros. The project, which was 99.32 percent co-financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO) with 16.4 million euros in EU grants, includes the construction of a four-star hotel and the roofing of the existing pool complex.
The new facility features 36 sophisticated rooms and two apartments, providing a total capacity of about 70 beds, alongside a restaurant with 100 seats. The hotel is connected via a warm link to the existing Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation Stubičke Toplice, integrating medical rehabilitation with wellness and spa tourism.
By roofing the pool complex, the hospital's wellness and therapeutic facilities are now available to patients and visitors year-round. Hospital director Zorica Capar described the investment as a historic step that transforms the institution's offerings by creating synergy between high-quality medical rehabilitation and health tourism.
