Thermography technology used for veterinary diagnostics in Poland

Thermography technology is being increasingly utilized in Poland for preliminary health assessments in veterinary medicine. Experts from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences note that thermal cameras allow veterinarians to detect inflammation, hernias, and other conditions by identifying temperature anomalies.

This method is particularly effective for screening large groups of animals, such as herds of cattle or horses, to identify individuals that require more in-depth diagnostic testing. While highly useful for initial imaging and intelligent herd health management, specialists emphasize that thermography is a supplementary tool and does not replace fundamental diagnostic procedures, as environmental factors like wind, moisture, and background temperature can influence measurements.
