Thessaloniki: Boy creates superhero storybook for priest

Konstantinos, a 9-year-old boy from Thessaloniki, has created a handmade storybook titled ‘Super Konstantinos’ to thank Father Nikolaos Papageorgiou for his support during his battle with cancer.

While receiving treatment at the pediatric oncology department of Hippokrateio Hospital, the boy drew numerous illustrations of his experiences. In the book, which features a superhero with a red cape, Father Nikolaos is depicted as a hero accompanying the boy. One illustration shows the two walking together, while another depicts them as companions in a car.

Following his recovery, Konstantinos visited the priest at the Holy Church of the Metamorphosis of the Savior on Delphon Street to present the book. Father Nikolaos, who regularly visits patients at the hospital to provide support, expressed how deeply moved he was by the gesture and the boy's creative way of sharing his journey.
