Thessaloniki Film Festival to honor Nikos Grammatikos

The 67th Thessaloniki Film Festival will award the Honorary Golden Alexander to filmmaker and screenwriter Nikos Grammatikos in recognition of his overall contribution to cinema. The festival, scheduled to take place from November 5 to 15, will feature an extensive tribute to his work, including screenings of his feature and short films.

Notable screenings will include the film ‘Absentees’ (Apontes), which marks its 30th anniversary, and ‘Night Flowers’ (Nychtoloulouda). These screenings will be conducted with universal accessibility. The tribute will also include an open discussion where Grammatikos can share his creative process with the audience. Additionally, a special edition of the festival's ‘Proto Plano’ publication will be dedicated to him, featuring rare photographic material and interviews.
