Thessaloniki Flyover construction forces major road closures on June 10
On the night of 10 June, traffic on Thessaloniki’s inner regional road will be halted between interchanges K5 (Papageorgiou) and K6 (Meteora) for the construction of a new flyover. Vehicles travelling east toward Halkidiki and the airport must use designated detours via the streets of Fotka and Prasakaki. The ramp at the hospitals GSN 424 and Papageorgiou will also be closed.
A 48‑hour full‑closure of both directions on the regional road is scheduled for 12 June at the K11 (Pylaias) junction to demolish the second Pylaias‑Panorama bridge, with an additional safety‑related closure on the bridge early on 13 June.
