Thessaloniki health center employee convicted of repeated theft
A 36-year-old employee at a health center in Thessaloniki has been sentenced to 20 months of prison, a sentence that can be converted into a fine of 10 euros per day.
The woman was found guilty of repeated theft after an investigation revealed she had been stealing money from her supervisor's wallet on multiple occasions since last March. The total amount stolen is estimated to be approximately 1,000 euros.
The supervisor identified the suspect after marking a 50-euro note and leaving it in her office. Following police advice, the supervisor observed the employee near the drawer where the money was placed. Although the defendant denied the charges, claiming she intended to return the money she found, the court found her guilty without granting any mitigating circumstances.
