Athens Metro Line 3 early station closures begin July 19
Night‑time rail‑track replacement work on the "Evangelismos – Katechaki" section of Athens Metro Line 3 will start on Sunday, 19 July. Five stations – Evangelismos, Megaro Mousikis, Ampelokipoi, Panormou and Katechaki – will close at 21:40 each night (about 2½ hours earlier than normal) through Thursday.
During the nightly works, trains on Line 3 will run only on the segments Demokratiko Theatro – Syntagma and Ethniki Amyna – Douk. Placentas – Airport. The last departures before the closure are scheduled at 21:05 – 21:47 for the Demokratiko Theatro‑Placentas direction and 21:30 – 21:10 for the Airport‑Demokratiko Theatro direction. After 21:40, services to the Airport will start from Ethniki Amyna and return to the same station.
To maintain passenger service, OASA will operate a temporary bus line X22 (Syntagma – Ethniki Amyna) covering the closed stations. The adjustments will be in effect from Sunday through Thursday each night until the works are completed.
