Thessaloniki infrastructure projects reshaping real estate market

The Thessaloniki Chamber of Crafts and Trades (E.E.Th.) held an event during the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair to discuss the developmental prospects of real estate and the impact of major infrastructure projects in Thessaloniki.

Kyriakos Merelis, President of the Chamber, noted that ongoing projects—including the development of the metro, road networks, and transport infrastructure—are reshaping the city's developmental map. These investments are expected to create an ecosystem of business initiatives and regional upgrades by increasing accessibility, boosting demand, and adding value to land and real estate.

Merelis emphasized that while these developments create opportunities for commercial and professional activities, urban growth and rising property values must not act competitively against small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or their access to professional premises.
