Thessaloniki-Nea Moudania National Road maintenance works announced

The Directorate of Technical Works of the Central Macedonia Region has announced maintenance works on the Thessaloniki – Nea Moudania National Road.

Scheduled activities include grass cutting and embankment maintenance between the M. Antypa junction and the 17.5 km mark (between the Pharmakeika and Nea Rysio overpasses) on September 29 and 30, 2026. These mobile crews are expected to cause minimal road closures.

Additionally, pavement repair works will take place from September 30 to October 8, 2026, between 10:00 and 15:00, depending on weather conditions. These repairs will involve the closure of the right lane and the hard shoulder at specific locations: toward Thessaloniki from km 15+500 to km 13+900 (September 30 to October 1), and toward Nea Moudania from km 16+000 to km 17+400 (October 6 to October 8). Traffic authorities in Thessaloniki and Thermi have been notified to implement necessary safety measures.
