Thessaloniki police chase ends in collision with parked cars

A police pursuit occurred in the center of Thessaloniki shortly before 6:00 AM after a driver failed to comply with a police signal. The vehicle traveled through central streets, including Aristotelous, before crashing into parked cars at the intersection of Agiou Dimitriou and Arkadiou Poleos streets.

Following the collision, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot; authorities are currently searching for the suspect. Seven undocumented migrants were discovered inside the vehicle, suggesting a human smuggling attempt. The vehicle reportedly bears foreign license plates and is believed to have originated from Serres. No injuries were reported, though there was material damage to parked vehicles.
