Thessaloniki police identify six suspects in anarchist ‘anti-Zionist patrol’

Greek authorities have identified six individuals, five men and one woman aged between 21 and 46, suspected of involvement in an ‘anti-Zionist patrol’ organized by the anarchist group Rouvikonas in Thessaloniki.

The group conducted the march through central Thessaloniki on the night of June 27, later sharing videos and photographs of the event on social media. The group stated the action was intended to protest Israeli investments and financial interests in Greece, claiming such funds were displacing local residents.

Following a prosecutor's order, the Thessaloniki police unit investigating extremist violence has launched a criminal procedure. The suspects face charges including incitement to crimes of violence or hatred and membership in a criminal organization. While no violence was reported during the march, the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece has condemned the incident, citing a rising climate of Judeophobia.
