Thessaloniki police seize 26 cannabis plants in indoor grow raid

Police from the Kilkis Crime Investigation Unit arrested a man in Thessaloniki after discovering a hidden indoor cannabis cultivation operation. The raid uncovered 26 cannabis plants—eleven small specimens up to 50 cm grown in a specially prepared room in the suspect’s house and fifteen taller plants up to two metres in an abandoned sheepfold in the city’s agricultural outskirts.

Authorities also seized two packets of raw cannabis weighing 590 g, one packet of cannabis plant extracts totaling 3.71 kg, and a precision electronic scale. The suspect will be presented to the Thessaloniki chief prosecutor for further legal action.
