Key findings from the EAD include the administration of chemotherapy drugs to patients whose diagnoses did not involve malignancy. Authorities are investigating whether incorrect information was submitted to EOPYY for reimbursement purposes. Additionally, the oncology department was reportedly managed by a private pulmonologist who lacked a written contract with the clinic.

The facility also exhibited significant operational deficiencies, such as insufficient nursing staff, a lack of required medical specialties, and the absence of a mandatory Intensive Care Unit (ICU) despite its capacity.

Following these discoveries, the Thessaloniki Deputy Regional Governor signed the decision to seal the clinic. A preliminary investigation has been ordered by the Thessaloniki Prosecutor to determine criminal liability, involving testimony from EAD officials and regional health committee members.
