Thessaloniki prosecutors investigate graffiti at Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium

The Thessaloniki Court of First Instance has ordered an urgent preliminary investigation into graffiti located on an exterior wall of the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium on Alkminis Street. The artwork depicts two yellow figures with bulldog heads—the emblem of the Aris FC supporters' group ‘Super 3’—holding baseball bats. At their feet lie four figures representing opposing teams, including one black-and-white figure with a red mark on its head. The graffiti concludes with the phrase ‘Beat the Bastards’ written in yellow.

Following social media discussions regarding the imagery, prosecutors are investigating whether the graffiti constitutes the offense of incitement to the commission of crimes, violence, or discord. The investigation aims to determine the legal implications of the depiction.
